A facility that only uses fully licensed physical therapists.
Cynthia Stein has been providing the highest level of care since 1974. To fill a void in Pittsburgh’s health care. She recognized the need to provide a more compassionate and complete healing environment: focusing on the whole person, not just on particular symptoms. She gives quality time to her patients, and has found that people improve much better when that time is dedicated to hands-on therapy. Cynthia is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania, and has been working in the area for more than forty years. She has been extensively trained by the Upledger Institute many holistic therapies.
If you have gone to therapy before and found yourself not spending the time you'd like with your therapist, whether it be spent doing exercise or being on machines, and haven't yet found relief for your chronic pain, know that there is a place that's different. See more on Cynthia Stein.
We stand apart from other therapy and rehabilitation providers because:
We're Exceptionally Experienced:
The staff at Squirrel Hill Physical Therapy Center all have advanced degrees and certifications. Our therapists are Upledger and Graston trained. Our areas of expertise include: CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Graston Technique, Sports Medicine, Vestibular Therapy, Fascial Manipulation, and Massage Cupping. We hire only fully licensed physical therapists, so you will see a PT as opposed to a PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) every session.
We Respond To Your Needs:
Our capable and compassionate therapists take pride in providing one-on-one attention, with each patient receiving one hour of hands-on care -- a standard nearly unheard of in healthcare today. We treat patients from all stages of life in a safe and comfortable environment. We accept almost all insurance plans and strive to schedule patient appointments within several days.
And it shows in our individualized, friendly treatment. Squirrel Hill Physical Therapy Center is dedicated to your health and well being. Our secret: We care about you and we love what we do. Our hands touch to help you heal yourself, because that's the amazing thing: our bodies know what to do when awareness is brought to it through means of touch, bodywork, and exercise.
In the car-centered culture of America people are generally over-worked and under-touched, leading to sometimes insurmountable stress. Good therapy not only heals the body, but also has the potential to affect the mind and spirit. Giving yourself permission to take some time for your body can produce amazing changes in all walks of your life, and is something that we hope everyone believes they are worthy of. Spend some time with your body and with us, we are here to help make it as educational and positive of an experience as possible.
