I saw a weight lifter recently in my office who was complaining of multiple muscle overuse aches and pains.
Squirrel Hill Physical Therapy Center provides physical therapy to active individuals of all ages: from the professional, collegiate, or high school athlete to the weekend or senior athlete. Over the past thirty five years, owner Cynthia Stein has conducted back clinics, classes on proper body mechanics, and has treated local athletes and celebrities.
There is no orthopedic or neurologic situation that can not be treated with physical therapy. We provide one-on-one attention: each patient receives at least one hour of hands-on care. Our rehabilitation process consists of soft tissue work, therapeutic exercise specifically designed for each individual's need, modalities that aid in the body's healing process, and a customized home exercise program to continue care after therapy.
Cindy has furthered her knowledge in Sports Medicine by becoming trained in Graston, a technique that has flourished in sports medicine because of its ability to speedily rehabilitate muscular fascial and ligamentous issues. Please refer to the Graston section of our website for more information and videos of the technique. Her abilities have helped many athletes recover smoothly and in a timely matter. She combines manual therapy with exercise. Cindy has treated local athletes and celebrities such as members of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates.
Our licensed physical therapists are dedicated to excellence in the science and art of rehabilitation of all active individuals.
